Desktop with server performance
If you have an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or a back up data card, then change your computer performance profile to a network server. This profile is buffering aggressively the memory data, so reducing disk operation time.
To change the profile :
Right-click on My Computer, select Properties
Click on the Performance tab, click on Files System button
Change the Typical role of this machine setting to Network Server.
